What to see in Bordeaux

If you are planning your next vacation, you may be asking yourself what to see in Bordeaux. This beautiful tourist destination in France is recognized as one of the city inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage List and it has numerous places that you shouldn’t miss the chance to visit.

Pont de Pierre, Cours de l’Intendance, Place du Chapelet, Grand Théâtre, Esplanade des Quinconces and Colonnes des Girondins are among the most important buildings in Bordeaux. Saint-André Cathedral, Basilica of Saint-Michael, Basilica of Saint-Seurin (that is the most ancient church in Bordeaux), Palais Rohan and Palais Gallien are other beautiful tourist attractions in this port city.
There are also many excellent museums in Bordeaux such as: Vinorama, Casa de Goya, Centre Jean Moulin, Musée des Arts Décoratifs, French Cruiser Colbert and CAPC. You can also go shopping in this destination. Rue Sainte-Catherine is the ideal area to shop. It is a pedestrian street full of restaurants and shops.
I haven’t found information about adventure tourism in Bordeaux yet, but if you are really fond of extreme adventure you should consider visiting Argentina where you can climb the highest mountain in the Americas, Mount Aconcagua.

Wine tourism in Bordeaux

Wine tourism in Bordeaux is said to be great. This beautiful city, which has become an interesting tourist destination in France declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO, is recognized by its excellent wines. Some of the most prestigious wines in the world are Bordeaux wines.

There are many travel agencies in Bordeaux that offer wine tours in which tourists and locals learn about the important production of wine that this destination has. Whether you like red or white wines, you will be delighted by the flavour of Bordeaux wines. Don’t miss the chance to try: Château Lafite-Rothschild, Château Margaux or Château Mouton-Rothschild.
It is highly advisable to go to the tourism office in Bordeaux or at least to call +33 05 56 00 66 00 to ask for useful information for tourists. It is said that some hotels in Bordeaux also offer this type of tour in the city. Remember that not all of them have multilingual personnel however you will find one that will suit your taste, needs and budget.
If you have the chance to travel to another country, it is advisable to visit Argentina where you can also enjoy wine tourism and even climb Mount Aconcagua, which is one of the most important tourist attractions in this country.
