The Republic of France is an European country (located in the center of Western Europe) that comprises of European Unio'n (UE) of which is one of its founders.
It limits the south with Spain (623 km), Andorra (56,6 km), Monaco (4,4 km) and the Mediterranean Sea, to the north with the English Channel, the west with the Atlantic Ocean, the east with Belgium (620 km), Luxembourg (73 km), Germany (451 km), Switzerland (573 km) and Italy (488 km). Religion The French Republic officially is a lay state. In their population the main religious confessions are represented: Catholic 81%, Muslim 7%, protestant 2%, bean 1.5%, Buddhist 1%, orthodox 0.5%, other 7%.

Climate
The climate is tempered in the north; the northeastern zones have a more continental climate with warm summers and to invier more colds to us. It throughout rains the year with enough precipitation probabilities in snow form during the winter. The Mountains of Oath have an alpine climate. Lorena (Lorraine), protected by its hills, has a relatively calm microclimate. The climate is Mediterranean in the south; the time in the mountainous zones is fresher, with forts snow-covered in winter. The Atlantic Ocean influences in the climate of the western coastal zones, from the Loira to the Basque region, the time is tempered and relatively calm with rains distributed throughout all the year. The summers can be very warm and sunny. In the inner zones the climate also is smooth and the French slope of the Pyrenees has fame by its record of solar light. The regions of the Blue Coast, Provence and Roussillon enjoy a Mediterranean climate. The time in French the Alps is unstable. The regions of Auvernia, Burgundy (Burgundy) and Valley of the Rhône have a continental climate. In all this zone very strong winds can be given, like for example the Mistral.

Celebrations
It is difficult to equal the experience to arrive at a small French town with the hope to find a bed where to rest and to discover the streets full of people, flags and tapes, a band touching in the central seat, all celebrating the celebration of santo patrono of the town. In addition to the Day of the Hem (14 of Julio) and the Asuncio'n of the Virgin Maria (15 of August), the rural regions of the south exist festivales traditional in Britain and, as well as a complete calendar of festivales of cinema and music. One of the festivales that are worth the pain to visit is the InterCelta, that is made in Lorient (Britain) in August; also the annual meeting of gypsys that becomes in Them-Stes-Maries-of-the-Mer, in Camargue is recommendable. The festejos of the Day of the Hem, the Asuncio'n of the Virgin Maria and the Celebration of San Juan (the 24 of June) are characteristic by their bonfires and exhibition of fireworks.
