Deauville is a locality in the department of Calvados, region of Baja Normandía in France. Thanks to their ports, navy, center of conferences, casino and hotels of luxury, Deauville are considered as the “queen” of beaches normandas.
The first reference to Deauville appears in 1060. At that time the city received the name of A Enilla and was plus a nucleus of fishermen who a locality. One was in the top of a hill and some of the houses were constructed near the chapel of San Lorenzo. Thanks to its situation near the coast, the town counted on a small port in the Touques river of a certain importance.
