Jonkoping is a city and a Swedish municipality located about 350 km to the southwest of Stockholm in the South border of the Vättern lake. Jonkoping is the capital of province of Jonkoping. Jonkoping is located in the historical province Smaland.

The city of Jonkoping has 55,000 inhabitants. There are many churches. The greater churches are the church Sofia in the west, and the church Kristina to the east of the center. There are a superior school, a hospital and some museums. There is two smaller lakes, Munksjon and Rocksjon.
