General Information

Teruel is a city of Aragón, in the center-Eastern zone of Spain, capital of the province with the same name. With 34,240 inhabitants 2006 it is the capital of province less populated with Spain. It is in the confluence of the rivers Guadalaviar and Alfambra. In the Mountain range of Albarracín the Tajo river is born in addition. Located to an altitude of 915 ms his climate it is characterized by invier cold and warm and dry summers to us. Jamón is specially well-known by his and its art to mudéjar recognized by UNESCO like Patrimony of the Humanity. Between their attractive tourist ones are their constructions mudéjares, the mausoleo of the lovers of Teruel, the paleontological center Dinópolis and a great natural wealth. Its art to mudéjar remembers its multicultural past. The most outstanding monuments of this style are the Church of Santa Maria, Cathedral of the diocese of Teruel, the towers of El Salvador, San Martín and San Pedro, whose feet is the church that receives the same name, also of art to mudéjar. In the way of Santa Barbara, it is possible to be appreciated the best Vista of the City and its surroundings from the Viewpoint of the Mansuetos, with his table of interpretation.
