Malaga is a Spanish province of Andalusia, to the south of the Iberian Peninsula, in the Mediterranean coast, between the provinces of Granada and Cadiz. Its capital is Malaga. The surface is of 7,306 km ² distributed in 100 municipalities and 11 judicial parties. Most of its territory is included/understood in the Béticas Mountain ranges that are in favor separated of the Intrabética Depression, in this well-known province like Hole of Antequera. In the west the Mountainous area of Round is located and by the east the greater reliefs on the mountain range of Almijara, Tejeda and Alhama. To the south, it compares to the Mountainous area of Round locates the Bermeja Mountain range. Malaga, capital of the province homónima, is a city from Andalusia to the south of Spain. Malaga is candidate to the "European City of the Culture" in 2016. With 560,300 inhabitants in 2005 the city of Malaga is sixth in population of all Spain. Its metropolitan area account with 1.074.074 and fifth more is populated with Spain. It is located in the extreme west of the Mediterranean Sea, to little more than 100 km of the Straits of Gibraltar. Demographically it is the urban zone more densely populated (in addition to being the capital) with the set of localities that are located throughout 180 km of the Mediterranean coast, well-known like the Coast of the Sun. The city of Malaga is surrounded by mountainous systems (Mounts of Malaga). Two rivers, the Guadalmedina and the Guadalhorce, pass by the city ending at the Mediterranean.
