Province of the center of Spain, located in the community of Castile and Leon. It limits the north with the province of Valladolid, the south with Toledo and Cáceres, the east with Segovia and the Community of Madrid, and the west with Salamanca. Its great orographic diversity is own of this province. Thus one distinguishes three great regions: a. The North zone, continuation of the North Plateau, characterized by its level landscape and its sedimentarios materials. It is a zone of continental climate with lengths and colds to invier and short but warm summers to us. It includes/understands the regions of the Moraña and the Earth of Arevalo. b. The central zone, where the zones of mountain (Mountain range of Gredos, Mountain range of the Paramera, Mountain range of Ávila, Mountain range of Villafranca) with their great granite formation are located which they reach his greater altitude in the Seat of the Almanzor Moor, who with 2,596 meters is the culminating summit of the Mountain range of the most elevated Gredos and of all the Central System. Its mountain climate characterizes in many zones by very low temperatures in the winter period and short and little warm summers. c. Finally, the South zone that includes/understands the Valley of the Tietar and the Valley of the Alberche, characterized by its low altitude and a more benign climate. In this part it is easy to find cultures of naranajas and olive trees. The most important populations of this zone are Sands of San Pedro and Candeleda.
