Almeria is a Spanish province, located in of integrated Spain and in the Independent Community of Andalusia. The capital of the province is the city of Almeria. The Government and Administration of the provincial interests are entrusted to the Provincial Delegation of Almeria. Sandal 8,774 km². According to the National Institute of Statistic, in 2005 its population hab. was of 612,315, being slightly superior the number of men. The density of population is of 69.8 hab./km², sensibly inferior number to the average Spanish. Judicial account with a diocese, 8 parties and 103 municipalities, between which Níjar figure, one of the more extensive municipal terms of Spain with almost 600 km².
Population
The main population centers are concentrated in the S and UNDER, specially in the region of the Field of Dalías and the Almeri'a West. The province is also organized in other traditional regions, in addition to the mentioned one: Field of Níjar, Under Andarax, Alpujarra, Desert of Taverns, Cabo de Gata, Valley of the Almanzora and Marquesado of the Vélez, among others.
Climate
The climate of Almeria is subdesert, Mediterranean, warm and dry. Its more remarkable characteristic is its cloudless sky and luminous, the warm summers and invier to us temperings. In the South coast, the fort is characteristic west wind. On the other hand, the East is famous in the capital since usually it makes raise to the temperature several degrees. Also the pluviometría is little, being the Cabo de Gata the place where less it rains of Spain. Also, the Desert of Taverns is, technically, the only desert of the European continent, which confers unique natural terrain features to him that were worth to him to become scene of the running of multitude of Western films during years 60, 70 and 80.
