Albacete is a Spanish province located in the Southeastern part of the Central Plateau, in the independent community of Castile-The Spot from 1978 (previously it belonged to the Region of Murcia). It limits the north with River basin, the east with Valencia and Alicante, the south with the one of Murcia and Granada, and to the west with City Real and Jaén. The province has a population of 384,640 inhabitants (2005). Its capital is the city of Albacete. The most important municipalities are: Albacete, Hellín, Almansa, Villarrobledo and the Stem.
Geography
It presents a plain in the north located to about 700 meters on the level of the sea. In the south one is the most mountainous zones with mountain ranges than they surpass the 2,000 meters (Mountain range of the Goats in Nerpio), the main ones are: Mountain ranges of Alcaraz, To pierce of the World, the Taibilla; and in the east are the Mountain range of Montearagón and the mountain range of the Mugrón de Almansa. The main rivers are the Júcar and the Safe one, although also they are of importance the Cabriel (affluent of the Júcar), and the World (affluent of the Safe one), this last one is born in the locality albaceteña of Riopar, in the heat of To pierce of the World, in the Cave of the Spurts. The province is divided in eight Regions: Level of Albacete, of the Júcar of Almansa of Hellín Mountain range and, Fields, Runner, the Stain-center, the Spot, the Manchuela Mountain range Safe of Alcaraz and Field of Montiel.
Climate
Continental, with great ends: to invier very cold (they have been arrived until -24°C, the registered lowest temperature in one capital of province) and very warm summers to us. In addition, the climate is in quite dry general, except in the South zone of the province, that is mountainous and presents/displays a greater rainfall.
