The rich cartagenero legacy extends to borders of its sport port. The Wall of the Sea, sent to construct by Carlos III (s. XVIII), delimits the old helmet. Facing the Mediterranean two elements related to the sea are located clearly: the prototype of the submarine of cartagenero inventor Isaac Pear tree and the National Museum of Marine Archaeology.
This museum, in the dock of Christmas, also welcomes in the National Center of Submarine Archaeological Investigations. Through its findings we can know aspects on the naval construction, the developed commerce and navigation in the Antiquity. The landscaping variety of the Region of Murcia enriches a table where products of the orchard, the sea and the interior occur to the hand. In Cartagena, without a doubt, they send salt meats, fish, kettles and paellas.
