Logroño, capital of the Independent Community of the Rioja, is a commercial city and mainly center of the vinícola zone of the Rioja. It is located in a plain in the right margin of the Ebro river and their origins go back to the time of the Romans, having itself together with the kingdom of Castile in 1076. A modern city is Logroño, with a pretty historical center located between the Seat of the Spur and the Park of the Ebro and crossed by the animated street Vestibules.

The museum was inaugurated in 1971, reuniting collections of diverse origins. Wood statures are exhibited, between which it emphasizes a Coronation of the gothic Virgin, interesting paintings, old furniture and local archaeological findings. Other buildings of interest are the palace of Espartero, the house of the Chapiteles and the convent of the Favor.
