Sousel is a Portuguese villa located in the District of Portalegre, Alentejo region and subregion of the Central Alentejo, with near 2 100 inhabitants.
She is host of a municipality with 278.94 km ² of area and 5 780 inhabitants (2001), subdivided in 4 freguesías. The municipality limits the north with the municipalities of Avis and Fronteira, the east and the south with Estremoz, the southwest with Arraiolos and the west with Moor.
In Sousel the church of the Mercy and the chapel of Nossa Senhora give Prayed “compete” seeing which is most beautiful. By the way, in this population is the bullring that, according to says the villagers, is oldest of Portugal. Bulls and horses, two beautiful animals, together in the Alentejo.
