Sao Roque do Pico, to main city of the North coast is São Roque do Tip and it is divided in two zones: São Roque and Cais do Tip (“soft” do Tip) named by its great wharf and center of the life of this population thus. Cais do Tip also counts on an insurance and great wharf reason why has become center of unloading of the boats of containers and second fishing port after Madalena.
