Thin Ponta is the capital of Azores, a Portuguese archipelago in the middle of the Atlantic. The population is considered in 20.100 inhabitants. The Municipality includes 231.9 kilometers square and one total population of 64,516 inhabitants (2001), subdivided in 24 freguesias.
