Nisa is a Portuguese villa of the District of Portalegre, Alentejo region and subregion of the Alentejo Stop, with near 3 600 inhabitants.
She is host of a municipality with 573.93 km ² of area and 8 585 inhabitants (2001), subdivided in 10 freguesías. The municipality limits the west and the north with the municipality of Vila Velha de Ródão, to the east with Spain, the Southeastern with Castelo de Vide, to the south with Portalegre, the southwest with Gavião and the northwest with Mação.
Nisa, a villa that is presided over by the rest of the castle that commanded to construct to king dom Dinis at the end of century XIII. The doors and leave from the walls reviven the past. An ample set of chapels, like those of San Sebastián and San Antonio, in addition to enough sources gives attractive Nisa. Nevertheless, its main attraction is its crafts, with embroiderings and well-known pottery in all the country.
