Are famous towns in all the country by the quality of their wines, like Azambuja, to alenquer and two Arruda Vinhos. The trincadeiras-pratas grapes give to dry and afrutados targets and the periquita and the trincadeira-preta, red that will make the delights of the Spaniards tired of tempranillo.
In these towns are cosy rural lodgings, equipped with all the comforts, with effort, in which the traveller receives a familiar treatment. In Rio Maior, for example, it is possible to lodge at the top of a hill in a wind mill of century XVIII, or in the old large house of a notable of the locality and to take a walk until the salt mines where still a constructed wood town has been working since for centuries entirely in which the salt also seems to have conserved the atmosphere.
