Molise is a region of the center-south of Italy, the second smaller region. Until 1963 it comprised of the region of "Abruzzi and Molise" (with Abruzzo) and acutalmente constitutes a separated organization.
It limits with Abruzzo in the northwest, the Straight one in the west, with the Campania to the south, the Puglia to the Southeastern and the Adriatic Sea to the northeast. The region includes/understands 4.438 km² and has a population of 330,000. The capital of the region is Campobasso. The region is divided in 2 provinces: Campobasso and Isernia. Other important cities: Termoli.
