Montepulciano is a small town of the province of Siena of Etruscan origin, known formerly like Castello Politiano. The city is distinguished in center by the Great Seat to which the most important buildings are shown.
The panorama that is observed from the tower of the palace of the City council is really wonderful. From, when the time is night watchman, the Valley of Chiana, Perugia and Asís can here be admired, Monte Amiata and even, the long tape of Lago Transimeno.

Raising towards the Great Seat, the point upper of the city, we were with the Church of Santa Maria dei Servi of the century XVI in whose inner it conserves the famous table painted by Duccio gives Buoninsegna: the Madonna with Child. The nature of the Valdichiana is of great interest by its variety and the beauty of the places that offer to the traveller. In individual, the “Oasis I gave Montepulciano” that is located in the border between Toscana and Umbria, in the final part of the Valdichiana.
It represents a jewel fit in the toscano territory that has one of the vastest cane plantations of Central Italy. The park is protected by the Lipu (it bequeaths Italian of protection of the birds) and counts on numerous units of birds and fish that choose this green area like habitat for the reproduction. They are important, inside the park, the wooded areas that the full cane plantation of chopos and willows contain.
