Manciano is an important agricultural nucleus of the valley of the Fiora where we can find a high number of monuments and relics that give test of the presence of the man in this territory from prehistory. The good position, the fertile fields and the proximity of an important knot of highways are important factors that they have allowed the development of this locality.
In the museum of Manciano the rest of prehistoric deposits are conserved and protohistóricos but this population is rich, in its historical center, of medieval monuments as the Cassero senese, a tower from which the magnificent panorama of the whole Maremma can be admired. Closely together of Manciano is Saturnia, famous locality by the bath, founded on time previous to the first Etruscan establishments.
