Founded by the Aqueos around year 710 a.C., the city was an important center of the Magna Greece.
They deserve a visit: the Municipal Museum, the Cathedral, constructed in century XVI, but modified successively and the Castle of century XVI, constructed in the place of the old Acropolis.
Little far from the city, in I castrate Colonna, are the rest of the important Greek sanctuary of Era Lacinia.
